Please read the following information before proceeding with your Permanent Make Up

​

  • Permanent Make Up cosmetics are a form of tattooing.    

  • Re touch procedures may be required.

  • A healing period of 4-6 weeks is required before a re-touch procedure can be performed.   

  • On rare occasions the pigment may migrate under the skin.    

  • You can apply an Emla cream purchased from a pharmacy

  • Immediately after the procedure, the pigment can be 30 to 50% darker then the desired result.

  • The pigments will fade.

  • There may be immediate or delayed allergic reaction to pigments. However, allergic reactions are extremely rare.    

  • A negative allergy test result will not guarantee that you will not have an allergic reaction.     

  • Permanent cosmetics cannot be applied to pregnant or nursing mothers.  

  • Permanent cosmetics cannot be applied to any person under the age of eighteen.

  • Tattooing can take place safely 5 weeks post chemotherapy & radiotherapy.

  • If you are taking any medication or have any conditions or allergies that may affect the treatment, please let us know.

  • If you have an infection (bacterial, fungal or viral) in or around the treatment area or are on antibiotics, please let us know.

  • Bleeding or clotting disorders such as Haemophilia will reduce skin healing ability.

  • We cannot treat you if you suffer from keloid scarring or hypertrophy. 

  • If you are diabetic, your condition may slow down the healing process.

  • Roaccutane needs to be out of the system for 6 months prior to treatment.

  • If you have had Botox or Fillers in or around the treatment area, please let us know.

  • Infections can occur if aftercare instructions are not followed correctly.  

  • There may be swelling, bruising and redness following the procedure.   

  • You may experience minor bleeding during the treatment.    

  • If you have previous PMU requiring correction, please be aware that cover up treatments are are not guaranteed.

  • Cover up procedures require skin colour matching tests before the procedure.

  • If you have an MRI scan within 3 months of your cosmetic procedure we recommend that you discuss this with your Doctor.

  • Where you have virgin skin, you will need two sessions to complete your brows.  In some instances further sessions may be required - this will be charged by the hour.

  • Tattooing is an art form of which there are many variables - the health and condition of the skin can alter the results of the PMU

  • Having PMU/Microblading is a permanent mark on the skin, the treatment will create a wound and dedicated aftercare is required to ensure safe healing

RESCHEDULING & CANCELLING APPOINTMENTS

By booking at The Sunstone Clinics you are confirming and you agree to our cancellation policy:

  • I ask for your consideration when cancelling or rescheduling your appointment.  For all appointments a (up to) 50% deposit will be taken on booking.  All deposits are non refundable.

  • For all appointments I ask for at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment for any reason.  Where it is less than 48 hours, you will be asked to pay another deposit to secure a new booking.

​

  • For cancellations or to reschedule your appointment with more than 24 hours notice, your deposit will be held and moved to your new booking.

​

  • If you are late to your appointment by 15 minutes or do not show up, you will be expected pay the full balance of the treatment.

  • You are able to manage all your appointments under 'My Bookings' by logging into the website using the email address you booked wit
